About the Founder
Kali Howell is the founder and creator of the School of Evershade. She lives in Kansas, and she develops the school's courses, resources, characters, and growing world while overseeing whatever new project has found its way onto the list.
Evershade began with an idea in 2021, that learning could feel magical without pretending to be magic, and it kept growing until it became the school you are standing in. The School of Evershade was founded in 2024, and it continues to grow one classroom, lesson, and slightly unreasonable idea at a time.
Evershade grew out of grief. After my dad and my brother died, I needed somewhere for all of that to go — and I had this vision: a real school inside a fantasy. A castle, houses, animal professors. Lessons that feel magical and are entirely real. So I built it, one lesson at a time.
Everything here was made so that real history, real science, and real skills could be learned through a magical lens: honestly, carefully, and with a great deal of fun.
How Evershade Is Made
Evershade is built by one person. I plan the courses, do the research, invent the people, and check every fact before anything is published. I have used AI assistants to help bring my vision to life — drafting lessons, building pages, and keeping the castle's paperwork in order. The ideas, the decisions, and the final say are mine.

Her seal — The Founder seals the school's most important notices with her green and silver seal. When you find one, it is worth stopping to read.
A Note from the Founder
Welcome to Evershade. This school exists because learning should feel the way it did when the world was new to you and everything in it was interesting. It still is. Come in and pick a classroom.
