Field Trip Gallery

Journeys beyond the castle walls, brought home by Evershade's scholars.

Welcome to the Field Trip Gallery, a growing collection of photographs and findings from excursions taken by students of the School of Evershade.

Every field trip begins at the Field Trip Office: a museum hall, a herbarium, a dark sky, a carved stone, a working bindery. Scholars go out with their eyes open and their journals ready — and this gallery is where the journeys come home. Within these halls you'll find what they saw, found, photographed, and wrote down along the way.

Some excursions are grand days out. Others are a walk to one interesting thing, looked at properly. All of them count.

From Our Scholars

The gallery is only just beginning.

These frames are waiting for the first journeys home. When scholars return from a field trip with photographs to share, their discoveries will hang here.

Add Your Discoveries

Have you taken an Evershade field trip?

Choose an excursion from the Field Trip Office, go and see the thing itself, and bring back what you found. Photographs of the place, the object, the specimen, or the view are all welcome, along with a few lines about where you went and what you noticed.

Send them through the Field Trip Office. The Field Trips page carries the office's own submission form — that form is where field trip photographs are sent, and the office hangs them here. Tell the office which excursion they belong to.

Talk it over at the excursion itself. Every field trip article keeps its comments open, so scholars can discuss the trip, ask questions, and leave their reports right where the excursion lives.

Work made back in the classroom belongs in the Student Gallery; discoveries from beyond the walls hang here.

You choose how your work is credited. Submissions may appear with your first name, Scholar Name or nickname, initials, or anonymously.

Someday these walls may be full of everywhere our scholars have been. For now, they are waiting for the first journey home.
