A Note from Professor Timberclank

Professor Cogbranch Timberclank's wax seal

Do not buy the workshop before you have worked in it. Level One is scrap, household tools, and practice stock, and it will carry you through the Foundation and far beyond. When a lesson needs more, the lesson says so. Spend on tools the way you spend on timber: after the measure, not before.

    What You'll Need

    Level Two: The Historical Road

Level Two is the historical road: specialty purchases and historically closer materials for scholars who want the older way of making the same piece. Hide glue instead of the bottle, hand-cut joinery instead of screws, reed and clay instead of plastic. Nothing on this side is required, and no lesson will ever ask for it before its Level One version has been taught. It is the same course, on an older road, gathered slowly.
