THE INK CAULDRON
Iron gall ink, the scribe's black — the Deep Shelf of the Potions Experiment.
An honest word from the laboratory. Oak gall ink wrote a thousand years of Europe's records, and its recipe is a true piece of chemistry: gall tannins meet iron, and black is born. The measures below are the scribe's standard proportions. You choose the batch, the patience, and the depth of black — and the deep black carries its honest warning, as it should.
Made here in the Potions Laboratory; written with in the Scrollwork Library. The door goes both ways.

Learn the Method Behind the Ink
This cauldron applies one lesson directly — the oak gall ink of Unit VI, galls and iron and patience. The generator applies the lesson; this page teaches it. And when the ink is bottled, the Scrollwork Library is where it goes to work.

Where this ink goes to work
Dip pens only — the iron that makes the black will ruin a fountain pen, and the lesson explains why.
